OUR EXPERIENCE: 

As Freshmen in Bergen County Academies, we could've never expected to aquire so much knowledge about the world we live in from simply going on a class trip. However, little did we know that this experience would stay with us for more than just a few days. From exploring the various sites at Bronx Zoo to writing profiles about each of the organisms that we encountered, learning about these animals evolved into an interesting journey. Being in only 9th grade in the Academy of Medical Sceince Technology, we were not expecting to encounter a curriculum in which we would be able to learn anout the life that exists with us; the environment that we have grown up simply reading about. Through the experience of traveling to Bronz Zoo, we were able to grasp an ample amount of information and truly understand the concepts of evolution, natural selection, and the ecosystem.
